Support HRP

Initial funding for the Pozen Family Center for Human Rights came from the University and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Ongoing operating support for the Pozen Family Center for Human Rights comes from the Provost, the College, the Division of the Social Sciences, the Humanities Division’s Neubauer Collegium, and the School of Social Services Administration. The Human Rights Internship Program is supported by grants from the Provost, the College, and the School for Social Services Administration, as well as by generous alumni and the Robert Kirschner Memorial Fund.

Alumni donors have offered continuing and consistent support to the Human Rights Program, providing expendable resources and endowment.

Endowment: Our donors have endowed a Visiting Professorship (Richard & Ann Pozen), a post-Baccalaureate Fellowship (Aizik Wolf), an Odyssey Scholarship (Richard & Ann Pozen), and several summer internships (Richard & Ann Pozen, Elliott Feldman).

Sustained program support: Donors Bob Ellis & Jane Bernstein, Richard & Ann Pozen, and Dr. Barbara Kirschner and family have provided ongoing support for program initiatives. The Ford Foundation, the Teagle Foundation, and the University of Chicago Women’s Board have provided support for special projects.

Internship sustainers: Generous alumni provide multi-year support for Human Rights internships. They include Bob Ellis & Jane Bernstein, Richard & Ann Pozen, Jeff Coburn, Alan & Vivienne Exelrod, Gerald & Win Greenwald, Jerry Knoll, John Pazour, and Louis Olom.
