Nitya Upadrasta

Nitya is a third-year majoring in Public Policy and Business Economics, and minoring in Human Rights. In the summer of 2023, she interned with the Cook County Department of Human Rights and Ethics to develop an outreach program for initiatives supporting Cook County residents in knowing their human rights. She attended and reported on meetings and conferences with community groups and County stakeholders regarding collaborative outreach and policy initiatives, specifically regarding the Cook County minimum wage. She researched the latest human rights and ethics news, policy issues, and outreach trends.
