Join us for a film screening and discussion with director Marianna Yarovskaya. This documentary film tells the compelling and tragic stories of six women who are among the last survivors of the Gulag. These women, now in their eighties and nineties, tell their stories while going about their daily lives in remote Ural villages, in breakaway Sukhumi, and in the Moscow suburbs.

More information about the film.

Presented in collaboration with the Center for East European and Russian/Eurasian Studies, the Franke Institute for the Humanities, the Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality, the Department of History, and the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures.
