Virtual Wednesday, Nov 17, 2021 12 – 1:30 pm Register

Join the Pozen Family Center for Human Rights for this year’s first Human Rights Book Salon.

Hedi Viterbo, Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Law at Queen Mary University of London will speak about his new book, Problematizing Law, Rights, and Childhood in Israel/Palestine

His book radically challenges our picture of law, human rights, and childhood, both in and beyond the Israel/Palestine context. He examines how both the state and its critics manufacture, shape, and weaponize the categories ‘child’ and ‘adult.’

Viterbo will be in conversation with Darryl Li, Assistant Professor of Anthropology and in the College // Associate Member, Law School, The University of Chicago
