Amid funding cuts and increased criminalization, learn how organizers on the frontlines continue to push for solutions to the ongoing overdose epidemic, and adapted their initiatives to a changing environment. In addition to hearing how these practitioners continue to move harm reduction forward in policy and practice, students will find direct ways to get involved on and off campus.
Speakers include:
- Jeanne Porges and Taylor Puch, Students for Sensible Drug Policy
- Joey Tepper, Illinois Harm Reduction and Recovery Coalition
- Matthew McLoughlin, Coalition to End Money Bond
- Harley Pomper, Jail Solidarity Network
A virtual Zoom-in option will be sent by email ahead of the event. Please reach out to Ruby at rvelez@uchicago.edu with any questions.
