Are you or someone you know interested in a $5,000 grant to complete a human rights internship next summer?

The University of Chicago Human Rights Internship Program offers a select group of Chicago students the opportunity to learn the skills and understand the difficulties inherent in putting human rights into practice.  Since its establishment in 1998, the Internship Program has helped place more than 350 students with non-governmental organizations, governmental agencies, and international bodies around the world.  The Internship Program is unique in its flexibility, awarding $5,000 grants to afford interns the freedom to explore their interests, whether thematic or regional in focus.

Read more about the program details, watch alumni share about their internship experiences, and explore a map to see where the 2013 interns worked!

Online applications are due by Sunday, November 10th at 11:59pm.  University of Chicago second and third year students in the College and all graduate and professional students, except those graduating in 2014, are eligible to apply.  Students in one-year Masters programs should contact the Internship Coordinator to determine whether they can apply.  Applications include an application form, CV, and letter(s) of recommendation and can be found here.

For additional information, please stop by during office hours or contact Duff Morton, Internship Coordinator.
