The Pozen Family Center for Human Rights (PFCHR) is hiring a Student Office and Communications Assistant (Assistant) to help with communications, events, and operations throughout the school year.

About the Position: The Assistant will help with PFCHR publicity and social media, website and database updates, and other activities. The Assistant may also be involved with communications, design, or other special projects, as time allows. The position requires and guarantees 10 hours of work per week (primarily during office hours, 9am-5pm), with additional or rearranged hours to work during PFCHR events.

Qualifications:

  • Current UChicago student, enrolled at least half time during the 2015-2016 school year.
  • Preference will given to Human Rights minors, interns, or graduate/undergraduate students who are otherwise familiar with the PFCHR.
  • Must reliably meet deadlines, have excellent communication skills, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work independently, interact closely and effectively with supervisors and peers, and exercise good judgment.
  • Experience with graphic design, digital publishing, and social media preferred.
  • Experience with RSOs or other campus organizations preferred.
