Pozen Center to Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

December 10, 2018 marks the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights—the landmark document that for the first time enumerated the fundamental human rights to be universally honored and protected. On January 17, 2019, the Pozen Family Center for Human Rights will honor and commemorate this milestone anniversary with a Festival of Human Rights. Students, faculty, and community members will select one of the UDHR’s thirty articles and interpret it through a contemporary lens. Over an eight-hour period, attendees will be invited to immerse themselves in the theory and practice of human rights through art making, literature, historical reflection, and more.
