Abby Kodidek
Abby is a fouth-year in the College majoring in Public Policy and Human Rights.
This summer, Abby worked with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR), a coalition of community organizations serving to advance the rights of immigrants and refugees across Illinois.
She worked to research and analyze policy issues related to immigration in Illinois, including state child tax credits, guaranteed income programs, and work opportunities for those without work authorization.
She also assisted staff in organizing and advocacy actions, including lobbying legislators at the Democratic National Convention in August. She attended meetings with various state and national issue coalitions as well as legislators. She closed out her internship, participating in a week-long comprehensive training on U.S. immigration law.
Currently, Abby is a Research Intern with Migration Policy Institute's National Center on Immigrant Integration Policy.
