Anna Stoneman

Anna Stoneman is a Ph.D. Student in Religious Ethics at the University of Chicago Divinity School. Anna previously graduated with her M.A. from the University of Chicago Divinity School and her A.B. from the College at the University of Chicago, with a triple major in Fundamentals: Issues and Texts, Philosophy, and Religious Studies.

Her academic interests center on questions of moral agency and responsibility, with a particular emphasis on philosophical and theological conceptions of human dignity and personhood, bioethics and the intersection of science and religion, and emerging moral questions amid technological advancement.

In addition to her doctoral work, Anna is deeply committed to campus leadership and shaping graduate student life. Anna is the President of the University of Chicago Graduate Council, the Graduate Liaison to the University of Chicago Board of Trustees, and the Graduate Student Representative on the Board of Campus and Student Life, serving over 10,000 graduate students across all academic divisions and professional schools.
