Cliff Chan

Cliff Chan directs the human rights internship program and manages the center's events and communications.  

Before coming to UChicago, Cliff advised students in the global internship program offered by Emory University's study abroad office. For many years, he served as the executive director of VIA (Volunteers in Asia), a nonprofit that places students and recent graduates in service learning opportunities throughout Asia.

He also worked for Communities in Schools Chicago, and his volunteer experience includes advocacy for greater police accountability and immigrant rights. He received his BA from Stanford University and MS in Management and Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University.
