Crown Family School

Jessica Darrow is Associate Instructional Professor and Coordinator of the Kiphart Scholars Program in Global Health and Social Development at the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice.

Her research focuses on refugee integration and resettlement policy, and implementation of social policies. Her research has focused on how a rights-based policy framework for refugees is constrained by the organizational-level pressures that refugee resettlement agencies face in the era of performance-based contracts for service delivery.

Current studies include an examination of how the resettlement sector adapted to the Trump Administration's anti-immigrant policies, and how the resettlement system is reconstituted in the aftermath; an analysis of the US-based response to the evacuation of civilians from Afghanistan with a focus on the experiences of community stakeholders; and a holistic analysis of the system of care for unaccompanied minors in the US.

She previously worked as the Pozen Center’s Internship Coordinator.
