Nahomi Linda Esquivel
History
Nahomi Linda Esquivel is a PhD Candidate in the History Department.
She is a former labor organizer and the current program coordinator for the Sanctuary Working Group, a solidarity cooperative that supports and accompanies migrants in their journey toward sustainable independence. Her scholarship examines the linkages between agricultural labor, border development, and legal informality.
Her work has been funded by the Jeffersonian Scholars Foundation, Pozen Family Center for Human Rights, Mellon Mays Foundation, and Center for Latin American Studies. Nahomi is also an avid bird watcher.
