Nora Holmes

Human Rights Leader

Nora is a third year in the College, double majoring in Law, Letters, Society, and History.

This summer, Nora worked in the Cook County Sheriff's Office (CCSO)'s public policy department. Specifically, she worked on researching ways to improve law enforcement responses to survivors of gender-based violence. This involved analysis of reports and data provided by the CCSO, Illinois law enforcement, nonprofit organizations, newspapers, and academic research.

At the end of the summer, Nora authored a 50-page policy briefing on ways to improve law enforcement responses to gender-based violence. She remains interested in using the intersection of law and public policy to further the human rights of women.
