Teya Lovell

Human Rights Leader

Teya is a second-year Master of Social Work student at the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice.

This summer, she worked with Dosti Network, an organization that works to evacuate and resettle families affected by the fall of the Afghan government and connect them to information and resources they need to live safer lives.

She primarily supported the development and launch of a pilot leadership fellowship program, the Emkaan Fellowship. The Emkaan Fellowship works to enhance the knowledge, skills, and capacities of young Afghan women impacted by conflict and displacement through seminars, mentorship, and community engagement as well as creating a safe space for cultural preservation and storytelling.

Currently, she is still working with Dosti Network as the fellowship is still in the beginning stages of launch.
