Viviana is a fourth year in the college, double majoring in CEGU and Anthropology.
This summer, Viviana worked at Lawyers for Children (LFC), an interdisciplinary legal office in New York specifically dedicated to providing legal advocacy for at-risk youth across the 5 boroughs.

During their tenure at LFC, Viviana interviewed clients seeking legal representation, ranging from parental neglect to SIJS (Special Immigrant Juvenile Status) cases, as well as conducting home visits for foster youth. She also compiled handy-resource lists for university scholarships for foster and immigrant youth, teen-parents, and translated common family court terminology and procedures for Spanish speaking clients. She hopes to continue her work in advocacy with a special focus on gendered oppression.
